All About Mama Lupe’s

What started as a small tortilla chip company in 1992 has grown over the decades into one of the largest tortilla companies in the United States. Mama Lupe’s complete line of tortillas, chips and salsa are shipped throughout the Midwest to grocery stores, chain restaurants and distributors looking for a supplier that is invested in quality, safety and value.

Mama Lupe’s owner Juan Guardiola came to the United States from Costa Rica to attend college and play soccer. He started working with Mama Lupe’s in 1989. After years of working in every aspect of the company, from manufacturing to delivering products to customers, Juan became the owner of Mama Lupe’s in 1998.  Under Juan’s guidance the company has grown from the humble roots of the first location in downtown Moundridge, KS to a large, state-of-the-art plant just a mile off the interstate in the same community where it was founded.

Juan’s philosophy of doing business is rooted in a belief that when you combine investment into the latest equipment with people who are dedicated to doing things right, you will make your customers happy. Satisfied customers create a growing business that leads to more opportunities for people in the plants, trucks and sales routes that are integral to the success of Mama Lupe’s.
